Who we are
Smutle is run by ARX Algorithms Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17511371), Office 21751, 182-184 High Street North, East Ham, London E6 2JA. We are the data controller for the information described here. Contact: support@arxalgorithms.com.
What we collect
- If you just play: nothing that identifies you. Your game progress and stats are stored in your own browser.
- If you sign in: your email address, and your name if your Google account shares it. Your daily results (which guesses you made, whether you solved it, how many tries) so your streak works on every device. Your answers to "I'm 18 or over" and the optional marketing box.
Why we use it
- To run your account and keep your streak and stats (needed to provide the service you asked for).
- To send you emails about new books, releases and Smutle news, only if you ticked the box. You can untick it in your account or use the unsubscribe link in any email.
We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who processes it for us
Supabase (database and sign-in, hosted in London), Cloudflare (website hosting), and Google if you choose to sign in with Google.
How long we keep it
For as long as you have an account. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email support@arxalgorithms.com from the address on your account. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Adults only
Smutle is about books written for adults. Accounts are for people aged 18 or over.
